Bar, Restaurant & Terrace

Socialising Safely

Our doors will re-open on Saturday 4th July to both residents and none residents. The risks associated with coronavirus have led to some adjustments in how we will operate, in order to prioritise your safety while visiting. Our adjustments follow extensive consultation with employees, at all levels, and incorporate advice from government, health & safety advisers.

We have introduced strict social distancing throughout all our venues which means we may need to reduce our capacity.

Signage, floor markings, out of use areas and spaced out tables will explain everything you need to do to minimise contact with others and still enjoy the same wonderful experience you would expect at The Bold. We know some customers enjoyed standing with their drink at the bar but for the time being, and until social distancing rules are relaxed further, we ask that all guests stay seated.

Our terrace has also been reconfigured and tables have been spaced out so you can enjoy a drink knowing you are Safely Socialising.

Arrival

Please book a table before you arrive by calling us on 01704 829027 for The Lord Street or 01704 532578 for The Bold. When you arrive you will be met by a host who will seat you at your table. Please do not move any of the tables as our layout has been carefully planned to adhere to Social Distancing measures.

Please note that our outdoor terrace is on a first come first served basis

Ordering your food

We will provide a menu that can be viewed which will allow you to browse and order safely, however if you would prefer, we can provide a disposable, one-time use food menu. Tables will be set on your arrival, with new cutlery.

Food will be brought to your table.

Where possible you will need to pay by contactless credit or debit card, but don’t worry at all if you need to pay by cash, we can still let you do that.

Using the services

Our toilets are all clearly signed to show the rules that are to be followed. Please keep your distance and respect others waiting to use or exit the cubicle.

Please wash and use hand sanitizer on exit. We will have a strict and thorough cleaning process that will be repeated at set intervals throughout the day.

Highest Cleaning Standards

Rigorous new cleaning routines have been introduced for your peace of mind. Bar staff will only touch the bottom of the glass when pouring your drink and we are kindly asking customers not to bring their empty glasses back to the bar, but to leave them on the spare drop off tables marked around the venue.

Hand sanitizer stations are located on all entrances of every pub and our staff will be doing regular cleaning of tables, glasses, toilets and customer areas throughout the day.

Regular hand washing is a must, a message we have communicated right from the start.

Our Team

All staff have all undergone face to face and online training on our new serving style and working with customers. Staff have been issued with PPE, including facemasks and gloves for them to use if they wish when they cannot maintain social distancing.

Daily self-declarations by staff will mean they are fit to work. We a COVID-19 risk assessment and trading safely guide to make sure you feel happy and relaxed when you visit.

We cannot wait to welcome you back and staff will be there to show you what to do, where to go and how to order.
